Tasks
The mission of Center for Environmental, Nature and Forestry Statistics is to conduct nationwide tasks in the fields of environmental protection, nature conservation, forestry, and hunting, including conducting methodological work and initiating, organizing and compiling the results of statistical surveys. The Center is also responsible for conducting work on methodology and preparing forest accounts.
In particular, the Center’s tasks include:
- organizing and coordinating work related to the conduct of statistical surveys on environmental protection, nature conservation, and forestry, including the collection, compilation, processing, analysis, and preparation of data,
- conducting work on the development and updating of methodologies for statistical surveys,
- acquiring, analyzing, and transforming data from administrative sources into statistical datasets,
- preparing publications and statistical reports on the research conducted,
- updating and expanding statistical databases, including Knowledge Databases and Local Data Bank in the areas of environmental protection, nature conservation, and forestry statistics,
- cooperating with other ministries, institutions, and organizations in the area of research methodology, including participation in the work of international and inter-ministerial teams and expert groups.
