Architectural accessibility

Building: Statistical Office in Białystok, ul. Krakowska 13, 15-875 Białystok

  1. The building is accessed by one main entrance from ul. Krakowska 13. The access road to the building is paved, with one designated parking space for people with disabilities.
  2. A staircase leads from the outside to the main lobby; to the right of the stairs is a platform for transporting people with mobility impairments (including those in wheelchairs). The entrance doors are automatic and threshold-free (1.2 m).
  3. The reception area is located to the right of the main entrance to the building.
  4. On the ground floor, on the left side of the hallway, there is a customer service office accessible through a threshold-free door that allows wheelchair access. On the right side of the hallway is a training room with a threshold-free door for people with disabilities.
  5. The accessible restroom is located on the mezzanine level leading to the basement, to the right of the building’s entrance. Access for people with disabilities is provided by a platform lift designed to transport people with disabilities (including those in wheelchairs).
  6. There is no elevator. The building has no Braille signage, nor any high-contrast or large-print signage for blind and visually impaired people.
  7. People with disabilities have the right to enter the building with an assistance dog, in accordance with the provisions of applicable law.

Building: Statistical Office in Białystok, Branch Office in Suwałki, ul. 1 Maja 13, 16-400 Suwałki

  1. Statistical Office in Białystok, Branch Office in Suwałki is located on the first floor of a building managed by PZU Na Życie Spółka Akcyjna, headquartered in Warsaw. It is a three-story building situated on a fenced-off lot.
  2. The walkway to the building is paved. There is also a ramp for people with disabilities. The ramp leads to the building’s entrance, located beneath the stairs. There is no designated parking space for people with disabilities.
  3. There is no elevator in the building, and the bathroom is not accessible to people with disabilities.
  4. People with disabilities have the right to enter the building with an assistance dog, in accordance with the provisions of applicable law.

 

Communication and information accessibility

  1. A Polish Sign Language interpreter is not available in the building. There is a possibility after a prior arrangement. If you intend to use the services of an interpreter, please notify the Office’s Secretariat at least 3 business days before your scheduled visit by calling +48 85 749 77 15 or by e-mail at SekretariatUSBST@stat.gov.pl
  2. There are no induction loops in the Statistical Office in Białystok building.
