The Statistical Office in Białystok carries out tasks related to public statistics, particularly in the areas of forestry statistics, nature conservation statistics, environmental protection statistics, the green economy, and the senior economy.

Our services

Information Centres are located at the Office’s headquarters in Białystok (ground floor, room 2) and at the branch office in Suwałki.
Responsibilities:

  1. providing access by phone, mail, and in person to:
    • statistical data from GUS and US publications,
    • GUS and US announcements,
  2. providing information on:
    • new GUS and US publications,
    • publications available in the Office’s library,
    • publications available for purchase,
  3. accepting orders for:
    • unpublished statistical data from the US data collection,
    • preparing reports based on information published by GUS and statistical offices,
    • data from the REGON register,
    • the extended scope of the TERYT register—the SIMC, BREC, and NOBC systems.

Orders for statistical data may be placed as follows:

The request should include:

  • subject scope,
  • time frame,
  • geographical scope (province, county, municipality),
  • form of access,
  • first and last name, address, and contact phone number of the person making the request.

The Statistical Office in Białystok specializes in carrying out nationwide tasks for the benefit of public statistics as a whole in the following areas:

  • forestry statistics (annual reports: L-01, L-02, L-03);
  • nature protection statistics (annual report OS-7);
  • environmental protection statistics (annual reports: OS-1, OS-3, OS-4, OS-5);
  • the green economy;
  • the silver economy.

How do I use the Reporting Portal?

The following are subject to entry in the REGON register:

  • legal entities,
  • organizational units without legal personality,
  • natural persons conducting business activity (including those operating individual farms),
  • local units of the aforementioned entities.

Confirmation of entry in the REGON register is provided by the publication of information about the entity on the GUS website. A Certificate of REGON Identification Number is issued only upon the entity’s explicit request.

Matters related to the REGON registry, i.e.,

  • accepting RG-OP and RG-OF applications,
  • issuing certificates of REGON number assignment,
  • providing extracts from the REGON registry

are handled at the headquarters of the Statistical Office in Białystok and at the branch office in Suwałki (except as noted in point 3).

Information about entities registered in Podlaskie Voivodship, as contained in the REGON registry, may be made available to all interested parties upon written request. Requests may be submitted as follows:

The Statistical Office in Białystok offers the following internship opportunities:
