Rules for Granting Honorary Patronage

I. General Principles

These principles set forth the requirements and procedures governing the granting by the Director of the Statistical Office in Białystok, hereinafter referred to as the Director, of honorary patronage or participation in an honorary committee, hereinafter referred to as patronage.

II. Specific Rules

  1. The Director grants patronage as an expression of special recognition for initiatives thematically related to the mission and scope of tasks carried out by public statistics, which are characterized by a high level of substance and organization.
  2. Patronage may be granted only to initiatives with a provincial, national or international scope.
  3. The Director does not grant patronage to commercial initiatives.
  4. For recurring events a separate request for patronage must be submitted for each edition.
  5. The granting of patronage does not constitute a commitment to provide financial or organizational support for the event.
  6. Information regarding the Director’s granting of patronage is published in the “List of Honorary Patronages Granted by the Director of Statistical Office in Białystok”.
  7. If patronage is granted, the organizer is required to:
  • notify co-organizers and participants of the event about the honorary distinction granted,
  • include this information on all promotional and informational materials.

III.   Procedure for Granting Patronage

  1. The application for patronage must be submitted by the organizer no later than 60 days before the start date of the event.
  2. The application form referred to in point 1, which is attached to these Rules, is available on the website of the Statistical Office in Białystok (Polish version only).
  3. The application must be accompanied by the event’s program and rules; if necessary, the Statistical Office in Białystok may request additional information from the organizer.
  4. The application, along with its attachments, should be sent to the following address:

  5. The Director’s decision regarding the granting or denial of patronage is communicated to the organizer in writing within 30 days of the date the application was submitted.
  6. There is no right of appeal against a decision to deny patronage.
  7. In justified cases, the Director may revoke a decision to grant patronage or withdraw from the honorary committee, in which case the organizer will be notified in writing.
